How to communicate with coaches through messages

Messaging

Stay connected with your coach through Coachive's built-in messaging system.

Accessing Messages

Go to Dashboard > Messages to see all your conversations.

When to Message

Before Booking

  • Ask questions about the coach's approach
  • Clarify if they can help with your specific goals
  • Discuss scheduling preferences

Before Sessions

  • Share context or materials
  • Remind about specific topics
  • Send relevant links or documents

After Sessions

  • Follow up on action items
  • Ask clarifying questions
  • Share progress updates

Messaging Features

Text Messages

Send text messages in real-time. Coaches typically respond within 24 hours.

File Attachments

Share files with your coach:

  • Documents (PDF, Word, etc.)
  • Images
  • Links

Read Receipts

See when your message has been:

  • Delivered
  • Read by the coach

Notifications

You'll be notified of new messages via:

  • In-app notification
  • Email (if enabled in settings)

Messaging Etiquette

Response Times

  • Coaches are not available 24/7
  • Most respond within 24-48 hours
  • For urgent matters, mention it in your message

What's Appropriate

  • Questions about upcoming sessions
  • Sharing progress or challenges
  • Scheduling discussions
  • Follow-up on session topics

What's Not Included

Messaging is for coordination, not coaching. Extended support between sessions may be:

  • Part of premium packages
  • Available as an add-on service
  • Discussed with your individual coach

Some coaches offer premium messaging packages for ongoing support between sessions. Check their profile for details.

Privacy & Safety

  • All messages are private between you and your coach
  • Messages are encrypted in transit
  • We don't read or share your conversations
  • Report any inappropriate behavior to support
