Manage your coach profile, preferences, and security settings

Account Settings

Learn how to manage your Coachive account settings, update your profile, and configure your preferences as a coach.

Accessing Settings

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right
  2. Select Settings from the dropdown
  3. Or go directly to Dashboard > Settings

Profile Information

Basic Information

Update your personal details:

  • Name: How you appear to clients
  • Profile Photo: Upload a professional photo
  • Location: Your city and timezone
  • Bio: A short description about yourself

Updating Your Photo

  1. Go to Settings > Profile
  2. Click on your current photo or the placeholder
  3. Upload a new image (JPG, PNG, max 5MB)
  4. Crop and adjust if needed
  5. Save changes

Tips for a good profile photo:

  • Use a clear, recent photo
  • Face the camera with a friendly expression
  • Good lighting (natural light works best)
  • Professional but approachable

Coach Profile Settings

As a coach, you have additional profile settings:

Coach Bio & Headline

  • Write a compelling bio that showcases your expertise
  • Craft a headline that captures what you offer

Specialties

  • Select your coaching specialties
  • Add relevant tags for discoverability

Credentials

  • Add certifications and qualifications
  • Include relevant experience

Video Introduction

  • Upload an intro video to connect with potential clients
  • Keep it under 2 minutes

Account Security

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter and confirm your new password
  5. Click Update Password

Password requirements:

  • At least 8 characters
  • Mix of letters and numbers
  • Recommended: special characters

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security:

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. Click Enable 2FA
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  4. Enter the verification code
  5. Save your backup codes securely

Recommended apps:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Authy
  • 1Password

Active Sessions

View and manage where you're logged in:

  1. Go to Settings > Security
  2. See all active sessions
  3. Click Log out on any suspicious sessions

Notification Preferences

Email Notifications

Choose which emails you receive:

To update:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications
  2. Toggle each notification type
  3. Changes save automatically

In-App Notifications

Configure browser notifications:

  • Allow/block browser notifications
  • Set quiet hours (coming soon)

Payout Settings

Connecting Stripe

To receive payments:

  1. Go to Settings > Payments
  2. Click Connect Stripe
  3. Complete the Stripe onboarding
  4. Verify your identity

Viewing Earnings

  1. Go to Dashboard > Earnings
  2. View your earnings summary
  3. Track pending payouts
  4. Download transaction history

Timezone Settings

Why Timezone Matters

Your timezone affects:

  • When clients see your available times
  • Session reminders
  • Calendar integrations

Setting Your Timezone

  1. Go to Settings > Preferences
  2. Select your timezone from dropdown
  3. Save changes

Make sure your timezone is correct - it affects how clients see your availability!

Language Preferences

Changing Language

  1. Go to Settings > Preferences
  2. Select your preferred language
  3. The interface will update

Currently supported:

  • English
  • German

Availability Settings

Setting Your Hours

  1. Go to Settings > Availability or Dashboard > Availability
  2. Set your working hours for each day
  3. Block out unavailable times
  4. Save changes

Data & Privacy

Downloading Your Data

Request a copy of your data:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy
  2. Click Download My Data
  3. We'll email you when it's ready
  4. Download within 7 days

Privacy Settings

Control your data:

  • Profile visibility: Who can see your profile
  • Analytics: Opt out of anonymous analytics
  • Marketing: Email communication preferences

Deleting Your Account

Before Deleting

As a coach, ensure you:

  • Complete or cancel all scheduled sessions
  • Notify your clients
  • Withdraw all pending earnings
  • Download any data you need

How to Delete

  1. Go to Settings > Account
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Click Delete Account
  4. Enter your password
  5. Confirm deletion

What Gets Deleted

  • Your coach profile and personal information
  • Message history
  • Session history
  • Payment methods

What We Keep

For legal/tax purposes, we retain:

  • Transaction records (7 years)
  • Basic account info for those records

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure to withdraw earnings and download any data you want to keep first.
