Understand how you get paid for your coaching sessions on Coachive.

How Payments Work

When You Earn

You earn money when:

• A client completes a paid session
• Sessions are automatically marked complete when the scheduled time passes

Platform Fee

Coachive charges a platform fee on each transaction:

• 15% platform fee on session earnings
• Fee covers: payment processing, platform maintenance, client acquisition

Example: $100 session = $85 to you, $15 platform fee

Setting Up Payouts

Connect Your Bank

To receive payouts:

1. Go to Settings > Payments
2. Click Set Up Payouts
3. You'll be redirected to Stripe
4. Enter your bank account details
5. Verify your identity (required by law)

Payout Methods

We use Stripe for payouts, supporting:

• Direct bank deposit (ACH)
• Wire transfer (international)

Verification

Stripe requires identity verification:

• Government ID
• Address verification
• Sometimes additional documentation

This is required by financial regulations and protects everyone.

Payout Schedule

Automatic Payouts

Payouts are processed automatically:

• Weekly (default): Every Monday for previous week's earnings
• Monthly: First of each month for previous month

Minimum Payout

No minimum - you'll receive payouts even for small amounts.

Payout Timing

After payout is initiated:

• US bank accounts: 2-3 business days
• International: 3-7 business days

Viewing Earnings

Earnings Dashboard

Go to Coach Dashboard > Earnings to see:

• Total earnings (all time)
• Current balance (pending payout)
• Recent transactions
• Payout history

Transaction Details

Each transaction shows:

• Client name
• Session date
• Session type and duration
• Gross amount
• Platform fee
• Net earnings

Exporting Data

Download your earnings data for:

• Tax purposes
• Personal records
• Accounting

Click Export in the earnings dashboard.

Tax Information

Your Responsibility

As a coach on Coachive, you're an independent contractor. This means:

• You're responsible for your own taxes
• We don't withhold taxes from payouts
• You may receive a 1099 form (US) if earnings exceed $600/year

1099 Forms (US)

If you earn $600+ in a calendar year, you'll receive a 1099-K from Stripe in January.

International Coaches

Tax requirements vary by country. Consult a local tax professional.

Pricing Strategy

Setting Your Rate

Consider:

• Your experience and credentials
• Market rates for your specialty
• Your target clients' budgets
• Time spent on session prep

Adjusting Rates

You can change your rate anytime:

1. Go to Coach Profile > Edit
2. Update your hourly rate
3. Save changes

Existing bookings keep the original price; new bookings use the new rate.

We're working on package pricing so you can offer:

• Discounted session bundles
• Monthly coaching plans
• Custom packages

FAQ

When do I get paid?

Payouts are processed weekly (Mondays) or monthly (1st of month), depending on your settings.

What if a client disputes a charge?

Contact support immediately. We'll investigate and help resolve disputes.

Can I offer discounts?

Currently, set your lowest acceptable rate. Custom packages with discounts are coming soon.

What happens if a session is cancelled?

If cancelled according to your policy, you may still receive payment for late cancellations.
